Judges 8: Gideon defeats the Midianites with only 300 men by God’s instruction. 

Judges 9: Gideon pursues the Midianite kings; the men of Succoth and Penuel refuse to help. 

Judges 10: Abimelech, Gideon’s son, kills his brothers and becomes king; he dies after a woman drops a millstone on his head. 

Judges 11: Tola and Jair judge Israel; the Israelites fall into idolatry again and are oppressed by the Ammonites. 

Judges 12: Jephthah is chosen to lead Israel against the Ammonites and makes a rash vow involving his daughter. 

Judges 13: Jephthah defeats the Ammonites, and later fights against the tribe of Ephraim. 

Judges 14: Ibzan, Elon, and Abdon judge Israel after Jephthah. 

Judges 15: The birth of Samson is announced by an angel to Manoah’s wife, who is barren. 

Judges 16: Samson kills a lion, poses a riddle at his wedding feast, and kills thirty men of Ashkelon. 

Judges 17: Samson takes revenge on the Philistines by burning their fields and killing a thousand men with a donkey’s jawbone. 

Judges 18: Samson falls in love with Delilah, who betrays him to the Philistines; Samson is captured and blinded. 

Judges 19: Samson destroys the Philistine temple, killing himself and many Philistines. 

Judges 20: Micah makes an idol, and a Levite becomes his priest. 

Judges 21: The tribe of Dan takes Micah’s idol and priest, and conquers the city of Laish.
